Each team member will select one of the four generations listed here and will conduct extensive research on his/her chosen generation:
Silent (Mature) Generation (those born before 1945)
Babyboomers (those born between 1946-1964)
Generation X (those born between 1965-1983)
Generation Y (those born between 1984-1999)
Each team member MUST choose a different generation to research.
There are 2 Phases in the Project
1. Research Phase of Project:
Your research should generate the following information:
a minimum of 6 facts about their chosen generation
the current needs of that generation
typical buying habits of that generation
Now that you have discovered vital information about your generation, you need to this
driving question

How can you utilize this research to develop a fashion product that would satisfy the wants/needs of your generation?
2. Production Phase of Project:
Use your research to
develop a prototype of a revolutionary fashion product
that will satisfy a want/need of the generation you researched.
Illustrate all of your research and a sample of your prototype in some type of artifact
In Summary:
Select a generation and conduct extensive research on that generation (listed above)
Generate at least 6 facts for that generation (facts should be ones that help you make a decision on what products/services to recommend)
List at least current 2 needs of that generation
List that generation's buying habits
Answer the
driving question
Develop a prototype of a revolutionary fashion product the meets the needs/wants of your generation
Illustrate all of your research and a sample of your prototype in some type of artifact
Turn in your artifact via Edmodo (even if it isn't digital)
Great Example of a Revolutionary Fashion Product that is meeting a need (well, really several needs!).
Multimedia artifacts will be graded utilizing the rubric below:
